NBA Championship Game 6, 2011…Do you know where the Miami Heat Fans are?
Posted: 06/13/2011 in UncategorizedTags: game 6, miami heat fans, nba championship, terrible
Now I’ve never blogged about sports, but after watching Game 6 of the NBA finals, I felt that this post needed to be made. Originally I was just going to leave this alone and simply read other bloggers opinions on this topic, but to my surprise, there were NO POSTS written on the terrible antics of the Miami Heat fans…or so called fans!
This is GAME 6 OF THE FUCKING NBA FINALS…..no…excuse me….ELIMINATION GAME OF THE FUCKING NBA FINALS….as a fan, if your team is up against the wall, it’s your job to pick your team up and will them to a win! To be quite honest, the 50 Dallas Maverick fans were WAY LOUDER than the Miami Heat fans all game….
Now I know a few of you are saying..well tyrant….the Miami Heat were down most of the game…they were playing terribly and the Mavs were just destroying them. FIDDLESTICKS and HODASHERY I say. This is the NBA Finals. The Miami Heat earned home court advantaged and it seemed more like an away game. The stadium might as well have been empty for the amount of support the Heat were getting. It’s not enough to cheer when your team is up. You’ve got to to will them to play better at times. In order to do that, some games you’ve got to cheer when they’re down by 5 after blowing a 12 point lead. Other times you’ve got to BLOW THE ROOF OFF after your star player makes a layup even though your team is down 10.
The Miami Heat are blessed to have 3 future HALL OF FAMERS playing for them, and yet’ you’d think they had a Cleveland Cavaliers type lineup the way they cheer for them. I hate bandwagon fans, but the least you can do is CHEER while on the bandwagon. But then if your TRUE FANS SUCK…I guess your bandwagon fans have to suck as well. At least the Lakers and Knicks bandwagon fans support their teams when they’re winning. My goodness, if the Heat fans suck this bad when they’re team is winning, I can only image those few years when they sucked…..
Miami will always have beautiful women and great weather. But I guess if you’re a sports franchise not named after a sea animal, then the city just doesn’t give a crap about your existence. No matter how many future HOF you have. I blame the Game 6 loss on the support of the Miami Heat fans. Had they cheered and tried to get under the Dallas Mavs skin, there’s no telling what could have happened….

Game of Thrones Episode 6: A Golden Crown

Welp, another episode on “one of the greatest novels of all time.” Let’s get into the synopsis.
To begin the episode, King Robert meets with his wife and Eddard after Stark’s fight with Jamie Lannister. After his wife speaks out of turn, telling the King that she should wear the crown and he, the skirt, King Robert punches (yea…punches) Cersei in the face to quiet her. His wife tells him that she will wear her bruise as a badge of honor and is told to leave. After a short conversation, King Robert keeps Eddard as his hand and tells him that he is going hunting to take his mind off of present issues. Meanwhile in Winterfell, Bran rides a horse for the first time since his injury. While Rob and Theon are supposed to be watching him, Bran goes off into the woods and is threatened by a group full out stragglers. Theon ends up saving Bran’s life at the disapproval of Rob Stark however, while Winterfell gains a new servant as the last surviving straggler is taken captive. Arya practices with Syrio while thinking about her father’s attack a few days prior. This leads to make her better as she learns to channel her feelings and not let it distract her from present events. Over the sea, Daenerys eats the heart of the horse in a Dorthraki ceremony. The objective is to eat the heart and not throw up, proving the child inside will grow up to be strong and wise. While Dany eats, Viserys and Jhogo talk in a corner. Afterward his sister is successful, Viserys jealous begins to take its toll as he tries to steal Daenerys’ dragon eggs. Jhogo in the end prevents him from doing so. Back at The Erie, Tyrion uses his wit to get out of jail for a moment to “confess his crimes” to Lady Stark and Lady Aryn. After his ruse is stopped, he is forced to have a trial by combat where, to his surprise, a sellsword named Bronn volunteers to fight to save his life. At King’s Landing, Eddard Stark during court, learns that Gregor Clegane is attacking villages at the call of the Tywin Lannisters. In a bold movie (and possibly due to Littlefinger’s constant nagging), The Hand of the King denounces Gregor’s lands and titles and calls Tywin Lannister to answer for Gregor’s crime. Tyrion meanwhile watches as his trial begins and ends with Bronn systematically taking his opponent down. After Bronn wins, Tyrion pays his jailer for giving him the opportunity to speak with Lady Aryn and leaves with Bronn. Joffrey meets with Sansa, begging for her forgiveness and reassures her that he loves her and cannot wait to be married. Soon after, Eddard Stark tells his daughters that they are to return to Winterfell and, after a comment Sansa makes, discovers that Joffrey is not King Robert’s heir. In the final scene Viserys arrives at his sisters dinner drunk and demands his crown be given to him at that moment. He emphasizes this by holding a sword to Daenery’s chest and threatening Khal Drogo that he will kill his son. Khal Drogo promises him a crown and, after the young prince drops his sword, “crown’s” him with an iron crown dipped in fire, killing Viserys.
“I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel” – Tyrion
Lady Aryn to Bronn; “You don’t fight with honor….” Bronn answers the Lady grinning, “No…..(while pointing to the dead soldier)….he did!”
“Oh wait….I just realized….I don’t care….” – Sansa
Now, as always, after a quick synopsis of the episodes events, I like to give some insight on the differences and similarities between the book and the television series. To begin, the beginning scene with King Robert hitting his wife was spot on with the novel. Not much feedback here minus my compliments to Cersei’s actor once again. I can’t wait till her character really gets the opportunity to command her scenes, which are only a few episodes away I am sure.
Tyrion’s portrayal was spot on as well, especially his “confession to his crimes” and watching of his trial. The one thing that was left out was the viewers ability to know what each character was thinking. In the book, Catelyn and Tyrion were the Point of View character during “The Erie” storyline and it is interesting to note that Catelyn knew what the Imp was plotting something as soon as he arrived. She was unable to prevent the man from accomplishing his goal however as her sister was too sure that the Imp’s hired sellsword would lose. The one thing I would like to add is that the series does not show enough of Lysa Arryn’s insanity. Just so everyone is clear….THIS BITCH IS CRAZY!
Over the sea, it was nice to see Khal Drogo get a few scenes in the T.V. series. In the novel, he was given ALOT more “screen time” and was shown to be Daenerys’ foundation and support system at times. He was given more acknowledgement in the book than her brother Viserys I feel, however for the series, they’ve almost switch the two in terms of “screen time” The guy who portrays Viserys is incredible so I personally don’t mind. Plus he’s dead now, so I feel like he was given his just due (and then some) in relation to the book.
The Sansa and Joffrey scene was added for the television series and had me laughing the entire time. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess! Anywho, it was cute, and did a good job of showing why Sansa did not want to leave. Sansa desperately loved the Prince and wanted to have his children almost immediately (that was all she talked about in the book too).
As for Eddard Stark and his discovery of Joffrey’s false heritage, it was better done in the novel, but yes. he pretty much discovered that Joffrey was not the heir based on hair color. Now hold on! Before you roll your eyes…or perhaps after….When looking at the bloodline of Robert, in order to make sure that “black hair” was a dominant feature, he found 3 or 4 instances where a Lannister was married to a Baratheon. In all cases, the child’s hair came out black or dark. The fact that ALL of Cersei’s kids were light of hair made Eddard assume that the children were not the King’s.
PS: The hunting part was added for t.v. too, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why. I mean yeah, Lancel was making the King drink a ton, but I mean so what. The novel does a pretty good job of explaining it in the future and allows the reader an opportunity to hate a certain someone even more.
Welp, that’s it for this episode. Hope you enjoyed. I’ll try to catch up to the series, but I’m not promising shit….lol…
